It rained today for the first time in almost a month. It's now raining for the fifth time. Even though the average temp today has still been around "hot as hades" I felt a slight chill several times. It's true what they say. Down here verano(summer)/non-rainy season is really only found during april.
Now, the dryness is over until next year. If my experience is even slightly reliable it will rain at least once a day almost every day from now until the end of next march. That translates into: I will experience the renewing rain every day until I return to the great U.S.A. While that may seem gloomy to some. I love it. I love the rain!
What did I do today? I gave a charla at the casa materna to four pregnant women about family planning! One of the women there now is 14. Another is 17 is pregnant for the second time. I tried to remind them of the importance of being prepared and planning for each child.
